Celebrate Pride Through Global Connection

Once again, it’s that time of the year when we grab our rainbow flags and glitter, ready to fill the streets with unapologetic fabulousness and laughter in support of the LGBTQ+ community. Pride Month 2025 events, ranging from vibrant parades to thought-provoking discussions,  are set to be bigger and bolder, bringing together people from all walks of life to stand in solidarity for love, acceptance, and equal rights.

Before You Step Out in Color: A Quick Look Back

Before the parades, the glitter, and the dance parties, there was a bar in New York City called the Stonewall Inn, a spot that had become a haven for the LGBTQ+ community. But on a hot summer night in June 1969, police raided the bar, leading to days of intense riots. The raid sparked fierce resistance, led by the very people who had been harassed and marginalised for so long. That uprising didn’t just make headlines; it made history. Today, we remember that Pride started as a protest, a call for equality, and a fight for the right to exist simply, and for that reason, we continue to amplify the voices of those still facing discrimination, advocating for inclusive policies and societal change.
