Paris Olympics Events Schedule: 4 Best Cultural Events
So, what are the best Olympic cultural events that you should attend in Paris? Here’s our list:
SPOT24 Exhibitions
This event isn’t new nor limited to the Paris Olympics, since it launched in April and will stay until the end of the calendar year. SPOT24 organizes an exhibition focused on the Olympics, sports, and urban cultures. It’s just a few steps away from the Eiffel Tower (so you can get them easily from some of the Paris Olympics 2024 venues), and it’s completely free. What else do you need to know?
- The exhibition is open between 9:30 am and 7 pm.
- Between 11:30 am and 3:30 pm, free guided tours are available.
- The exhibition is located in the SPOT24 on 01 Quai Jacques Chirac – 75015 Paris.
La Vestale—Cultural Olympiad
La Vestale is a 3-act opera written by Gaspare Spontini in 1807. Although once popular, it had not been performed at the Opéra National de Paris for the last 150 years…until June 15. You can enjoy this performance every day, at least until July 11. What else do you need to know?
- Tickets cost between €15 to €200.
- You can attend between 2 pm and 7 pm.
Foujita’s Olympic Ball
Do you want to relive the madness of the roaring twenties or take part in a more casual cultural event related to the Paris Olympics in 2024? Then you should go to the Foujita’s Olympic Ball on July 13. Surely, this is yet another event that took place before the Olympics, but you shouldn’t miss it, as it aims to recapture the atmosphere of the 1924 Paris Olympic Games and the grand Olympic Ball in costume that took place back then.
The ball itself will have several mini-events. You can expect the following:
- best costume contest,
- martial arts demonstration,
- tofu culinary workshop,
- noh theater demonstration,
- concert and swing dance,
- guided tours of the Maison-atelier Foujita.
Sounds of Denmark
If you love music, you should definitely attend this event at the Cultural Olympics. The Sounds of Denmark is a set of 30 (!) free concerts organized at the Danish Pavilion. From July 26 to August 10, you will have the opportunity to experience unique shows prepared by five different Danish artists.
Don’t worry, you won’t have to miss out on sports competitions to see the concerts—the artists will be playing two concerts per day for three consecutive days. This way, you can always find time to see the shows or even revisit those that you loved the most!
