A 3.4-mile round trip that ends at a natural stone arch with panoramic views of the Flatirons, Boulder, and the Indian Peaks. The Chautauqua Dining Hall (open since 1898), Colorado Chautauqua lodging, and a concert auditorium make the trailhead itself a destination. Tips: Parking is extremely limited, with only 58 spaces in the main lot. On summer weekends, take the free Park-to-Park Shuttle from downtown Boulder parking garages. This is the most stress-free option. Also, no bikes are permitted on any Chautauqua trails, and dogs must be on a hand-held leash unless displaying a City of Boulder Voice and Sight tag.
