Two observers witnessed triangular craft in populated area about 500 feet above ground. Craft initially traveled at 45mph matching vehicles speed, then suddenly accelerated while all three lights merged toward center and changed to fiery orange color. Object made sharp 90-degree turn and accelerated rapidly southward toward Denver while climbing altitude. Duration 30 seconds with closest distance 500-1000 feet.
