Observer witnessed approximately 15 metallic-gray spheres flying in perfect V formation from west to east at low altitude. Objects were completely silent, about the size of compact cars, with distinctive protruding circles forming a cross pattern on each sphere. Formation flew directly overhead at ~200 feet altitude while observer was photographing aurora. Duration: 20 seconds. No lights detected, described as floating/flying in perfect unison.
