Retired homicide detective and experienced sky watcher observes multiple white lights dropping from apparent upper atmosphere at satellite-like speed. Six objects counted in binocular field of view simultaneously. Some objects changed direction to fly parallel to earth's surface, forming formations near ground level. Objects appeared moon-illuminated rather than self-luminous. Duration: 2 hours. Location: 5 miles north of Panther Junction.
