Observer witnessed two cigar-shaped, silver-looking objects positioned on either side of commercial jets approaching O'Hare Airport. Objects remained stationary relative to aircraft for 3-5 minutes before taking off at extremely high speed and disappearing. Objects were few hundred feet away, viewed from River Road & Higgins intersection. Characteristics included lights on objects and close proximity to commercial aviation.
