Observer witnessed very bright white light (3x brighter than North Star) above tree line in eastern sky. Object remained stationary for 10 minutes before abruptly disappearing. Next night, similar bright lights appeared in both southern and eastern directions, changing to alternating flashing and moving at 500-1000 feet altitude. Duration: 15 minutes total observation. Closest distance: 2000 feet. Possible drone classification.
